The article is aimed at highlighting the poor reputation of the Australian Government’s inhumane treatment of refugees. It illustrates the fall of Kabul on the 15th of August, hastily arranged plans to save Australian citizens, permanent residents and completely forgetting the Afghans already holding a visa, many potential applicants, and those who have their applications under review. The article also presents a comparative analysis of the present mayhem with that of previous various incidents when the Australian Government has shown a step- motherly attitude towards refugees. It also mentions the importance of the upcoming Australian election in May 2022 with regards to creating a mandate of taking care of the refugees seeking refuge on Australian soil.
